Why do Atheists make fun of Christians for trusting in the Bible, when they just type their questions into Google and believe whatever answers come up? Seems like they just put their faith in a different set of people and institutions.

Furthermore, they can point out corruption in organised religion but can't see how those same motivations can exist in science. All research is bought and paid for. Nobody is doing this for free lmao.

Did you ever go to school? Questioning your sources is like the first thing they teach you.

      >Questioning your sources
Something atheists never do when they quickly google an answer during a debate

I use google (or yandex, or bing) as a memory aid, I'm not gonna just pull up an answer that's flat wrong, sure, but I'll use it to find that article I read earlier that refutes your point

Pretty sure the first thing they teach you is the ABCs or some shit.

No, the first thing they teach you nowadays is that you have to ask people their gender before you know what to call them, and that diversity is a blessing.

They do, yeah. At least in the post-secondaries. Personally I think they should start much earlier.

Yeah, my entire freshman year of college was based off of critical thinking and questioning everything

Really? Mine was just gay classes on diversity and caring about the poor, plus the usual major-related intro courses (Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Technical Drawing since I'm a STEMtroony). I don't think I ever saw anything about critical thinking in college except in one philosophical Logic course I took as an elective. I saw more of that in middle school and high school, albeit.

STEMtrannies don't really need critical thinking, it's more of a humanitroony thing since they deal primarily with different sorts of bulshit.

Well but you hopefully did learn how to do proper source work.
When you write a STEM seminar paper you know how to find actually credible sources for it and not just the pick the first blog you find on google.
Depending on which STEM field you're in you also learned how to perform experiments and measurements correctly or how to work with data and not misrepresent it and should be able to spot when someone else does it wrong

Why do you believe in the Bible?
What are the historical proofs for the nativity, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus?

Some sources are more trustworthy than others. For instance a source that cites a peer reviewed study is more trustworthy than a book that says the earth is six thousand years old.

Yeah anon hundreds of papers about every detail of the amphibian life cycle down to the molecular chemistry are part of a broader conspiracy to make you gay.
    Fricking troglodyte.

I mean there's economic motives, sure, but it's often stuff like "big agriculture wants to understand food animals more" or "big oil wants to know where to dig"
When there's the potential for falsification you do have to be suspicious, but a lot of science research is either orthogonal or complementary to what the people funding it want to accomplish, so making shit up won't do them any good

Scientists detail their methods so others can check and falsify them. Religcucks make shit up and insist you take their word for it.

    This is pretty obvious stuff.

You're right but atheists can point to the technology you are relying on to communicate this message over the oceans in mere seconds for why you should put your faith in scientific knowledge. What can christcucks point to?

You do realize that the majority of research is to determine the truth of something? It's very easy to tell the difference.

For example, a study saying "beef is good for you!" Is almost certainly paid for by meat companies and used as advertisement (you can look at the language of the study to see how they manipulate stats and such), but a study about, say, new techniques to make super-conductors is certainly funded but entirely concerned with the truth

The answers by Google are observable, testable and reproducible. Christianity will never put anything on the table intended to be observed, tested and reproduced. This is why you have to appeal to "divine mystery" to make your nonsense sound profound.

Imagine making a strawman argument and then losing against it.

    >Why do Atheists make fun of Christians for trusting in the Bible
Why do Christians spend all their time online crying about non-Christians?
I'm guessing it has something to do with low functioning autism and psychopathy.
