Why are people so religiously blind to the dangers of nuclear power?

Why are people so religiously blind to the dangers of nuclear power? If any other technology had a proven track record of rendering large amounts of prime land uninhabitable there would be a healthy level of skepticism but if you so much as breathe the word "chernobyl" around the rick and morty crowd they'll start screeching about coal as if they can't think straight.

Why are people so religiously blind to the dangers of being alive? If any other state of being had a proven track record of rendering large amounts of people dead there would be a healthy level of skepticism but if you so much as breathe the word "yolo" around the nihilist crowd they'll start screeching about no meaning of life as if they can't think straight.

Yes we should go back to coal instead and ignore the 20k casualties a year from just mining the stuff

    Ahahahahaa.

    *Wheeeze.*

    Hahahahhahahahah.

I'm sure if you added up all the fly ash spills and the mining runoff the amount of land ruined by coal would be higher than nuclear incidents as well. They're not even comparable in the amount of damage you tard

We have small modulars today that come with built-in safeties and could be more easily produced that your average powerplant building. They are not as efficient as the big plants, but I think it's a step in right direction. Small Modular Reactors or watchamacall them.

Might need to warm up a few politicians and displace some oil lobbies here...

chernobyl was just moronic communist mismanagement and nuclear power has gotten much safer nowadays. no reason why we should still be using fossil fuels, but we're stuck with it because the corporations that produce them are in bed with the state.

i'm not a moronic leftist who screams the end is near every moment of their life.

nuclear power is safe and effective.

Lmao who cares you friggin nerd. We NEED more power. More profitable power especially. If some poorgay territory gets irradiated who gives a frick.

Because the payoff nuclear offers is incredible. Look at how much land has to be used for renewable, not mentioning natural variables like cloud coverage or wind speed that would affect it. Fossil fuels have their own set of problems.

    lack of perspective.
also quick reminder, most people don't give a frick about tomorrow, or about anything that happens once they're gone. they'll sell you anything, by any means
