There Is No God

And there is no afterlife

90% of human behaviour is an attempt to cope with these facts.

      Jesus created the universe
Jesus was not created, and exist for no reason

The Bible says the universe was created through Jesus, he was a passive agent. God the Father is the sole creator

Jesus was created, hence why he is called the only-begotten Son of God

Face it 90% of human behavior is coping with lack of resources, god being freely available with faith make it a non issue unless you openly and constantly debate spirituality and conciousness

How is lack of afterlife a bad thing? It's a comforting thought to know that whatever bullshit befalls you in this life we all come to the same end.

      There Is A God

      it's not a bad thing
it's just another coping mechanism, thinking that death will bring the end of your existence and, with it, the peace that you desire so much, only to realize how wrong you were, it really can be devastating

Agreed. Who want to float around as a spirit trapped in a israelite dimension for eternity. Christcucks are too dumb to realize how shit that would be.

If there is an afterlife nobody knows what it would be like. You seem to imagine it would be a caricature of the Judeo-Christian afterlife

How do you imagine life after death? If you get to keep your persona, your memories, then the specifics are irrelevant, you're a floaty ghost doomed to wander until heat death of the universe, perhaps longer. If you lose your memories and turn into something else then it's no longer you and it's not afterlife.

The way I see it, you turn into something else multiple times a day. Your mood changes, your thoughts wander, your focus shifts, you might become drunk, high, exhausted or exhilarated, sick or healthy. Your personality likewise changes over the years. But no matter what you still feel like you. If an afterlife did exist, why couldn't you be happy all the time and still feel like you? All you really need is a cure for the human tendency towards boredom, our addiction to novelty. Changing that wouldn't destroy your sense of identity, would it?

Why not, it's consistent with your understanding that once you die, there are no further real consequences to anything you did, so why not live for your own sake and be the true master of your destiny in the only life that you get.

Solipsism is the belief that there's no objectivity and "truth" is subjective to you. I believe in things that (a) can be reasoned logically and/or (b) that are supported by measurements, observations, experiments.

            >Solipsism is the belief that there's no objectivity and "truth" is subjective to you.
That's postmodernism. Here is the dictionary definition of solipsism:
            >the view or theory that the self is all that can be known to exist

So you just deny anything transcendent to physical existance?
Well your words are just attempts to make concrete the ideas in your head, byt those ideas are abstract things that don't exist, therefore your opinion doesn't exist.

If you deny objectivity itself, then we have no standard and nothing to argue about.

    God means Theo.

    Same root as theory.

Yo can't have Theory without Theo.

Jesus Crhist IS the scientific method.
    (Annointed code of salvation)

Life does exist after you die. To say it doesn't is just selfishness.

The last statistic is just some made up number from an unscientific mind.

I wouldn't mind religion if it weren't used as an excuse to oppress others so often. If we could just get to the point as a species where religion is a private matter between an individual and his god(s) of choice, and there's no overarching worldly power attached to it, that would be great.

      >religion is a private matter
The word religion means, "revisit old language/code". This can not be private, as language/code requires two or more people to have meaning.

Where two or more gather in my definitions, there am I with them.

That narrative propagated because it’s in the interests of academics who want to increase their social authority by breaking down previous social institutions and structures. They mostly don’t do it consciously, but are rather just following the incentive structure layer out by their environment and worldview.
The scientific method inherently involves the removal of variables and considers only what which can by physically quantified. Aka the material. ie. An inherent property of it as a tool it that it can’t measure the immaterial. Absence of proof is not proof of absence you know. Just because you tried to apply a tool to a given thing and it didn’t produce results does not mean that that thing literally does not exist.
you know the analogy, “is all you have is a hammer, than everything looks like a nail”? well if you were to apply the same logic to such a scenario, it would be like saying that everything that isn’t a nail literally does not exist. Seems rather silly doesn’t it?

      Interesting.
      >read Bible
      >God shows up in physical form in the Bible multiple times
      >interferes with the natural physics and chemistry of reality repeatedly
      >can answer prayers by interfering in reality on request of Christians
Now all of this would be probable with the scientific method. Where’s the proof?

God is a proxy for the truth and the biblical stories are metaphors for how you should pursue that over the whims of the group. Ie be a good person.
