In other words, marriage, wealth and health are mundane and therefore not worthy to be asked for unless the person asking is an idiot. This is demonstrably not what the Bible teaches. We are to ask for all of these things in faith and recognise the beauty in them.
The life of a Christian is a life of sacrifice. The whole point is to bear your cross. Christians are not Christians because they think their life on Earth is going to be prosperous. And that is simply not true. Christians do not pray to God and expect all their dreams to come true. That doesn't mean God doesn't ever bless his faithful but there are NO guarantees in this system of things. Some people, despite their strong desires and great faith, are not blessed with companionship. It is an unfortunate reality but Christians are taught not to despise singleness, which I took the opportunity to explain in my reply.

You keep darting between different parts of your argument and making additions in an effort to save face. You characterised people who prayed for a wife, family, and health as idiots. That's what I took issue with because it's unbiblical.
As for not necessarily getting what you pray for in faith, that's a far more complex issue than you're making out. James and Jesus say that God will grant us whatever we pray for so long as we believe that it is so.
Despite this, Paul prays three times to have his thorn removed yet his request is not acceded to. Are we to assume that Paul is without faith? Certainly not. But we can say that if God does not answer our prayer in precisely the manner we desire, He shall nevertheless grant us peace of mind and insight should what we are asking for not be right at that moment. He did grant a certain measure of peace and insight to Paul in this respect.
This is all to say that if a young man or a young woman still desires a spouse, and they have searched themselves to know that this desire is earnest, they should keep praying until they have either received what they asked for or God has revealed a different path to them. We should, like the persistent widow, be audacious in our conversations with God. We should faithfully request, trust, beseech, listen, learn and so on. And we should press on in these various prayers always.

The problems that exist in society at large exist within the Church also. They are simply more acute within the Church given the fact that it is something of a silo that insists upon moral acts. This has been known from the very start. The problems that plague modern women do not therefore evaporate once they enter the Church. The vast majority of them still care more implicitly about what society thinks a good man is as opposed to what Christ thinks a good man is. Social pressure is extremely effective and it is extremely hard to undo. More often than not, the Church simply alters the vector by which people, including women, express themselves. It is rare to find one who has been altered in terms of the substance of their thoughts and actions.

There are plenty of average to above average young men who would happily marry a nice girl who happened to be a little on the thick side or was maybe a bit plain from certain angles. The problem is that, thanks to the proliferation of social media - together with social conditioning from media, entertainment and education - most young women now have inflated egos and unrealistic expectations. Average women are no longer attracted to average men. Average women are no longer even attracted to above average men. This is likely by design, seeing as the demonisation of the average white male accomplishes what the establishment desires most: a monumental and lasting decline in the birth-rates of first world countries and the death of the middle class.
