The human race is such a vile and disgusting that there is no way it is a divine creation of any God.

The human race is such a vile and disgusting that there is no way it is a divine creation of any God.

It makes perfect sense that we are just evolved animals that inherited all of our ancestors' primal instincts. The world is exactly what you would expect if that were true.

Have you ever had an orgasm inside a woman? Not just any orgasm but an orgasm after spending weeks or months without having an orgasm? And then 9 months later a brand new human beings pops out of her looking just like you and winning over your heart? That is a divine gift that no way was caused by random chance.

That is what evolution by natural selection has created. Every animal breeds and gives birth. Nothing divine about it.

Well if you believe that God is the universe like what Sikhs believe, then evolution and its consequences fit neatly with no problems.

Humans are vile and disgusting by design. Our souls are constantly in conflict with our earthly bodies. The virtuous man is one who learns to rule with his soul over his body.

            >look at Dementia/Alzheimers patients
What about them? Presumably the argument is that people's memory, personality and sense of self deteriorate because of earthly conditions, which shows that all those things come from the brain and not a spiritual thing like a soul. That is not proof that there is no soul. The soul needs the body to operate here on Earth, and if the body is damaged, the soul has limited capabilities. Analogy: the camera might be working fine, but the lens is damaged. The soul is the camera and the body is the lens. In heaven, souls perceive and think perfectly.

trauma to your physical brain can literally alter who you are as a person. It can make you a vegetable, it can change your disposition, and it can give you mental illnesses. If the self is so malleable, then it naturally means that there cannot be some supernatural phenomenon that causes it to be fixed or always contiguous in some way. Your response is that the destruction of the body impedes the expression of the soul, and is not itself the destruction of the soul, which is a totally unfalsifiable claim that's not susceptible of being either right or wrong.

            >which is a totally unfalsifiable
You're right that I can't prove it to you, but I've shown that an explanation is possible. Now you cannot claim that the soul doesn't exist because of brain damage unless you demonstrate that my explanation is impossible.

I could understand Neanderthals, Denisovens and the like but are we REALLY related to/descended from those more primate looking things or did they just find fossils of them, decide they were old enough to be archaic ancestors and make some assumptions? A couple million years doesn't seem like a very long time to evolve from that into something that looks like us.

The human race is way more vile and cruel, creative in its cruelty as well, to be in line with other animals. The evil of mankind actually does suggest something more divine, a divine faculty that has been corrupted into something supernaturally evil.

A chimp will rip your face off while laughing and screaming. What's supernatural about that?

Do Christians see everything around them that they don't understand as skywizard magic?

If mankind were more closely related to gorillas or orangutans instead of chimps or bonobos, we probably wouldn't be so bad.

      >supernaturally evil

A chimp will rip your face off while laughing and screaming. What's supernatural about that?

Do Christians see everything around them that they don't understand as skywizard magic?

Well, human beings are more destructive than chimps because they create exploitative industries that run off positive feedback loops, which industrialization merely amplifies.
