Revived by who. The descendants of the faith are more obsessed with Islam and worshipping their Emperor.

That's "whom" actually, and by me, a white westerner with no ancestral ties at all, which isn't important anyway.

So everyone who ever converted to Christianity, Islam and Buddhism was larping? How disgraceful

Yes. Manichaeism is the only religion that accurately explains the cosmic struggle between good and evil.

Manicheism is still alive. It's just extremely underground in modern China.

      >extremely underground
Why would it be extremely underground and how do we get them to redpill us on it?

        >Why would it be extremely underground
Because it, along with Buddhism, are extremely persecuted in modern day china.
The manichean stay quiet, go to the temple/shrine, then go home. Especially right now while China is facing some of the most severe crackdowns on religion since mao.
        >How do we get them to redpill us on it.
Extremely unlikely that will happen to be honest. Unless the current government dissolves or someone goes to or leaves the mainland with the intent of bringing the religion to the rest of the world.
Religions that intersect with Buddhism or are Buddhist are extremely hesitant to let outsiders in, for good reason. Especially in authoritarian Asian countries, there's always fear of it just being gone one day.
Manicheanism is at this point a mystery faith. And it'll stay that way probably until China's government collapses.

Again, you may have a chance of getting it out to everyone if you go to the mainland and ask aunties about it. Show you really care.
But that's also just as likely to get you killed by the government. Aunties may not even say anything because they're afraid you're gonna report them to the Central government for subverting the country with superstition.
          Sorry bro.

Yes, especially if you're a westerner.
Your best case scenario is the(CCP) use you as a living advertisement for the government. But you wouldn't get manichaeism, you'd get "manichaeism with Chinese characteristics".
IE a highly politicized and atheistic "secular manichaeism".

Why would they give a shit about people discussing religion in private? I thought they only cared if it came into public view in some way that challenges authority

            Couple reasons;
            1. China has a culture based around "saving face". This means that they will go above and beyond to not lose face in the public. Their ideology says no religion, so religion cannot be allowed unless it is stripped of "superstition". It's the same reason they won't let you show a skeleton on tv there-it's seen as superstitious.
            2. They view religions as counter revolutionary and politically dangerous.
            3. Typically speaking, Buddhism and it's descendent or related religions (such as manichaeism) are and have been better at implementing socialist ideals than China's government ever has been. The Chinese government doesn't give out free housing, jobs or food. Nor do they have protections if someone of rank abuses you. This looks terrible when contrasted with Buddhists and manicheans who will literally build a house for you, for free, because it's in their rules to do so. As well as provide free food/medicine/clothing/etc etc etc.
Buddhism, manichaeism and daoism to an extent have been shut down for many many years due to their attempts to implement a kind of non western anarchist political system.

China frequently does shut down and harass private religious activities. It's especially bad right now.
Only groups allowed to exist are just those that focus entirely around worshipping the government. AFAIK the CCP still enforces children to kill small animals in Tibet and that mao destroyed karma so it doesn't exist now.
Small private religious activity can and does happen, but there's no guarantee it won't be fricked with unless you're extremely hidden in one of China's gray areas.

You entered into this thread just to call OP puerile and to state you aren't allowed to call a religion "cool". You're also the only one I addressed, yet you acted as if I spoke to a number of people ("others", "everyone else").

No, it describes "Free will" as the act of following their idea of a path of light, realistically two paths exist, with virtue remaining meaningful for both
