I honestly believe that at some point people evolved the ability to talk, read, write, and think words. The change came first to one people who essentially believed themselves to be empowered with God or infused by the power of God as the word, the motivating spirit that embodies the word apart from any orator that is also one with all those who are also of the kind with the word.

How hard would it be for someone writing the New Testament to come along and write "Jesus fulfilled X. Trust me, bro." No one can check to see if it actually happened in history or is just a fabricated story.

Also Jesus didn't fulfill any of the messianic prophecies. He didn't bring world peace. He didn't gather all israelites back to Israel. He did not unite the world under the knowledge of the God of Israel. He did nothing.

John 1 actually is indicating that Jesus (the Logos) ISN'T God anymore. It's old Philo-style emanationism, which already existed in Judaism, with Metatron (the angel of the Lord). Note the: "And the Word WAS God". God, according to this tradition in israeli religious thought, separated off bits of himself into different angels, and set them about different tasks. One of them being the "firstborn of creation" and God's high priest. Aka, Jesus.

Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.

It is strange that you think that this some sort of gotcha. J dubs have a poor understanding of koine greek and think you can translate languages one to one. Note how there is no definite article between Ἐν and ἀρχῇ and yet it is understood as "in the beginning" and not "in a beginning". I point this out because that is the same argument they use for rendering their incorrect translation.

Fun Fact: blasphemers aka jehovahs witnesses used to use the kjv before their current Bible (whose authors have mysteriously never been named) was being used. Another fun fact: old editions of the watchtower featured the cross.

            JWbot

“The beginning” refers to the time when God began his creative work and produced the Word. Thereafter, the Word was used by God in the creation of all other things. (John 1:2, 3) The Bible states that Jesus is “the firstborn of all creation” and that “by means of him all other things were created.”—Colossians 1:15, 16.

The phrase “the Word was a god” describes the divine or godlike nature that Jesus possessed before he came to earth. He can be described in this way because of his role as God’s Spokesman and his unique position as the firstborn Son of God through whom God created all other things.

If we start from the start in Exodus, we see that israelites were cruelly ENSLAVED by Egyptians. But God saw this, so he sent Moses to set them free. Then in the desert he provides for all their needs. He gives them food, protection, land and even makes a covenant with them that he will always be by their side as long as they keep the law he gave thel, which includes worshipping him only (and not the false gods) and acting with justice everyday. If they did that, Jehovah would keep them as his treasured posession

But just after God told them all of this, the Israelites did a bad thing and worshipped a golden calf, so they broke their covenant

And yet, Jehovah doesn't abandon them, they continue to live and he continues to be their God.

They enter the promised land and then it's the same story for over 1000 years !

Israel disobeys God = God gets angry = but ultimately God forgives them

TIME AND TIME AGAIN the Israelites worship idols, oppress the poor, steal from widows and abandon Jehovah's justice 🙁

They live with evil in their hearts and God continues to forgive them: he sends prophets and miracles to win them back

The Bible says that God is hurt and sad that they keep doing these things. For 1000 years, Jehovah has been loving and patient and faithful to a covenant they didn't deserve. Until enough was enough, and he allowed Israel to be destroyed by Babylon

But his anger lasts for only a moment. After only 2 generations, Jehovah offers forgiveness to the people and restores their nation and tries again !

When we see the whole story of the OT, what we see is not a God who is angry by nature. We see a God who is far more merciful than we will ever be !

And finally, God sent them a prophet to offer the ultimate salvation, not only for Israel but for people of all nations !

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.”—John 3:16

Saint Paul says all things were created through and hold together in Christ in Colossians too though. The Trinity is one dogma for which the evidence in Scripture is fairly overwhelming. Nothing is created except through Christ is quite explicit, as is God's Spirit also being God.

But Paul never says that God and Jesus are the SAME. He was writing in the tradition of Jesus as the firstborn of creation, and highest angel of God, that traces all the way back to the figure of Metatron. Philo was a very significant israeli author who wrote about this exact sort of being. So Paul identifying Jesus as the firstborn of creation and the way by which God created everything, is utterly unsurprising. Yet, NOTHING Paul says can certainly be used for evidence of a Trinity, and much else that he DID say can be used as evidence against it.

The KJV versions of this verse has long since been discredited.

            Consider the following, better translations:

who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,

            Berean Standard Bible

            English Revised Version
who, being in the form of God, counted it not a prize to be on an equality with God,

            Literal Standard Version
who, being in the form of God, thought [it] not something to be seized to be equal to God,

Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

who though he existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

Here, Paul is talking about Jesus' humility and submission to God. He did not envy God's position and never craved equality with God, unlike Satan whose goal is to be worshipped like God.

    >A guy writing words and saying thing..."PROVES" thing
Christians believe the bible is the 'word of god' and can by default not contain lies.
The 'Slave exodus from Egypt' has been proven to be a lie and the bible violently snaps between being Henotheistic and pure-monotheistic in it's two testaments because the first-half was written by Bronze-Age israelites who just thought YHWH was their personal tribal-totem god and the second half was written during the Roman empire, Itself a spin-off of the by that point Monotheistic Judaism.

Despite the Christian claim that YHWH is 'omniscient' and has ordered the universe in a way that free-will is void, with him already being aware of and setting in stone everything that will ever happen, We see YHWH in the old-testament feel the need to 'test' individuals when he already would have known their responses, had he been omniscient.

+ All the YHWHjak spam, Chemosh and the chariots, Book of Job, YHWH trying to kill Moses in the desert, YHWH flooding the world to end sin and then it immediately not fixing it etc etc etc. - All also fair criticisms.

Christians: fill yourself with the Spirit and become a vessel for the father.

    So demon posession?
