It's not dead. There are lineages and systems today that are unbroken, related or inspired by such ideas. They are kind of secretive but if you are truly interested you can just meet people from spiritual schools, talk to them and see if you like their stuff.
There are gnostic lineages in Europe and Russia. Cathars, bogumils etc. Mainstream history is mostly full of shit and tells you they were all eradicated. I am not sure how authentic their oral history is but I am much more inclined to take the word from the horses mouth than from wikipedia or what some inquisitor said.
These aren't Manichaens but they're pretty cool too. What makes you think they're still there?

I talked to them. Their methods seem legit but not my cup of tea. Their roots and inspiration are zoroastrian and manichaean. I learned and heard a lot of stuff but all I can say is that the principles are the same in most other traditions.
if you're asking this question and posting it on Oyish there's about a 0% chance you have the social skills to be a cult/religious leader (getting followers for the religon). You need massive charisma to do that and everything in this post points towards autism. Sorry. You should probably stay in your lane and join a church group or something.
By all means keep indulging in the fantasy that (you) or anyone you know is capable of gaining adherents to a dead religion. Knock yourself out. The elephant in the room is the persuasive skills you need to convince people of some paranormal shit. You're gonna have to stand in front of people and talk about that fantasy shit for minutes, hours, and have them believe it. This is entirely a social skills exercise

What makes you think I'm trying to con people? (

Isn't theosophy just manichaeism with 19th century eugenics thrown in?
