>I don't get the appeal of religion debate threads.
atheists who purports themselves as intellectually superior getting BTFO and desperately trying to save their sorry ass with unbelievable levels of mental gymnastics will always be entertaining.
Christians seem to claim atheists are intellectually superior more than atheists claim it.
You can tell there’s this underlying understanding in Christians that they know their beliefs are dumb.
Hell one of their main points of attacks is trying to claim that atheism is a religion too, implying it’s a dumber and worse thing than not being religious

I’m not an atheist.
Hard to explain Christians trying to force the label of religion on atheists during arguments unless to them it’s something inherently negative to be religious

Why would Christians try and force atheists to adopt the label of a religion anon?
Christian don't claim they are religious, they don't even claim that it's a religion.
But that its a relationship with Christ.
But yes many of us will along with being called a religion and being religious just to avoid the hassle.
So the question is, is it still a religion if its true?

there's a dumb streak in american protestantism that denies explicitly that christianity is a religion, obviously because they see religions as baaad (they appear to have been buckbroken by the 'how lucky you think you are to have been born into the one right religion among so many?' attack). their motto is 'christianity is not a religion but a personal relationship with jesus'.
Not only has it not been proven, it's impossible to prove. The whole field is essentially just one big educated guess, it's only taken for granted by atheists because it's by far the most convincing explanation that they have produced, but ultimately it's a mere theory.

Literally everything is an educated guess based on data, evolution is no worse than pretty much any scientific theory. No one has so far come up with a better explanation for the findings other than "uuuuh maybe its all satanic lies!"
OP here, I said this intently, atheism isn't ignorance, atheists aren't ignorant. >Romans 1. >19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
But if you're gonna ask me what this thing is that is so obvious, for argument's sake I will use the intelligent design and the Choice Maker so they are without excuse verbally too.
It's just obvious that that the finite cannot come from the finite, and the infinite must necessarily be God. There have been many good rational arguments for Christianity, but they're only really for believers, since atheists will *never* accept them, because they are prejudiced against theism. They only pretend to be agnostics when talking to Christians, among themselves they act as if they have a sort of Agnosis: hard proof of God's non-existence.
Nah, I have been debating these homosexuals for a while and every time the argument comes to a conclusion, they ask for a repetition of everything argued so far. At first I thought it was legitimate cognitive dissonance and in thinking so I would repeat myself over and over again until eventually I realized, these people are unhinged.
I don't debate Muslims but I don't think they are as deranged when cornered.
Their desperate need for an immediate comeback backed by the lack of it produces some of the most visceral, raucous booing.
>just have faith >no >omg ur so pigheaded
This god c**t better show me something first and even then why would I bow to you, loser? We're all the same thing afterall, no?
>Yes
How is that falsifiable if my argument still remains unfalsifiable?
You clearly aren't thinking here.
For your claim that "Your argument is unfalsifiable" to be falsifiable, my argument would first have to falsifiable.
So really, it's a meaningless claim.

>So really, it's a meaningless claim.
Not really, you claim to have a 'well-proven argument', but until you find a way to test it in the real world, nobody cares.
You should've just called this the argument from apathy, because no one in their right mind gives a shit about this type of dumb sophistry

Because it sounds like you’ve axiomatically decided Christianity is true. I could be wrong if you showed that it’s actually something you could discover is false
I don't get the appeal of religion debate threads.
Being in god is probably among the least harmful beliefs someone could have.

Sure, lets just take away Evangelical's right to vote and I'll be fine with them believing whatever the hell they want.
For Catholics, israelites, and Orthodox I'm fine, but Evangelicals deserve the bullet.
