When does Jesus tell anyone to wear a crucifix? Since He doesn't say to do this, how is this an indicator of if one is a Christian?

Your cross is your burdens that will come to you in life. This world will come at you with a lot of attacks and struggles and burdens. That's what you have to endure and carry for the sake of Jesus Christ, as He did. If you stay in His word and grow in His word, He will make you overcome the world as He also overcame the world.

      >When does Jesus tell anyone to wear a crucifix? Since He doesn't say to do this, how is this an indicator of if one is a Christian?
He didn't say you need to wear a crucifix, but mostly definitely made the Cross the symbol beyond an execution device (both his cross and all the crosses his followers must take up for themselves). This all alone is his most fulfilled prediction.

      >And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”-John 12:32

The Kaiser gave it to me for an act of heroism: I swallowed a live grenade to save a bunch of refugees.
Well, actually, it wasn't a grenade, it was more like a firecracker.
And I didn't swallow it, I stomped it out with my foot.
And there weren't any refugees either: it was The Fugees (I used to work the barricade for their concerts).

Christianity is a religion of peacemakers, not pacifists.
      >Turn the other cheek
It means don't ape out like a Black person because someone said something you don't like, if anything Jesus is preaching stoicism here.

Objectively good morals. Only caring about yourself is very israeli.

Predestination is a trick one because our concept of time limits us to what we know is happening in the present and past. God sits outside of that and is all knowing, so in a sense it's not predestination, but a knowing of how things will play out.

Never delved into Calvinist thought. But yes, that is one interpretation. God's presence is in hell, but is being rejected by people in hell. In some interpretations say its the God's love that burns the sinners. Its more consistent with attributes he is claimed to have.
Free will is part of Christian view that makes no sense, since again, God wills everything. Trying to go around the issue always violates either his omnipotence or omniscience.

Pre-destination means that some people are just dammed to hell automatically, it's one of the main issues with Islam.

            >God's presence is in hell
I disagree. God's presence is on earth, but we aren't fully connected to him since it's a fallen world, Hell is the rejection of God/Christ.

I have always been someone who does everything either 100% or not at all. If I was to start praying daily and growing in my faith I would also start street preaching and telling people about the hell that awaits us all if we do not give our sins up to Jesus and turn away from them. How many people have premarital sex? Literally everyone does and it's a sin according to the bible. How many people lie? Literally everyone does and it's a sin according to the bible? Most of us sin regularly and we don't even ask for forgiveness in earnest and turn from our sins no matter how big or small they are. It's just normal to sin and apparently to pray and pretend we're good Christians.

One of my bigger hangups with Christianity is that we are suppose to simply believe in Jesus and that will absolve our sin. Well, if we really believe, wouldn't we also stop our willful sinning? It seems to me that not many people actually believe.

I've been wondering about the connection between religion and fear of death.
When religions arose the world was poorly understood and sciences little advanced, many people died seemingly random and arbitrary deaths, few living to old age. Gods helped to make sense of that.
Now with a better understanding of sciences these last 2-300 years people's faith has been weakening, religions become watered down, and people become atheists and the like.
Will Christianity and similar religions make a return once the world becomes more chaotic and too complex for people's understanding (which is already in process)? Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
And if it randomly starts zapping people left and right beyond explanation (thank you, OpenAI) will people attribute it to gods, especially once their society collapses and such technology becomes utterly unreproduciable, while modern medicine fails as well?
    >when the techno-barbarian warlords rule

Currently religion honestly isn't very useful. It doesn't explain much, and even less reliably so.
Its only utility is perpetuating culture.
