When does Jesus tell anyone to wear a crucifix? Since He doesn't say to do this, how is this an indicator of if one is a Christian?
Matthew 16:24: If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
Means to undergo the suffering true Christians go through in this world. Why are cathcucks such lawyers. No different than Pharisees.
Your cross is your burdens that will come to you in life. This world will come at you with a lot of attacks and struggles and burdens. That's what you have to endure and carry for the sake of Jesus Christ, as He did. If you stay in His word and grow in His word, He will make you overcome the world as He also overcame the world.
>When does Jesus tell anyone to wear a crucifix? Since He doesn't say to do this, how is this an indicator of if one is a Christian?
He didn't say you need to wear a crucifix, but mostly definitely made the Cross the symbol beyond an execution device (both his cross and all the crosses his followers must take up for themselves). This all alone is his most fulfilled prediction.
>And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”-John 12:32
It's a reminder to carry your personal cross + to signal alliance with other Christians.
The only cross I wear around my neck is an Iron Cross.
did you buy it or earn it?
die infidel

>did you buy it or earn it?
The Kaiser gave it to me for an act of heroism: I swallowed a live grenade to save a bunch of refugees.
Well, actually, it wasn't a grenade, it was more like a firecracker.
And I didn't swallow it, I stomped it out with my foot.
And there weren't any refugees either: it was The Fugees (I used to work the barricade for their concerts).
ubermensch
But you are not a recipient. Stolen valor.
I killed fiddy men.
1. No
2. Because Allah is the one god and Muhammad is his messenger
3. Submit to Allah.
Muhammad is the Orignal Grifter
you only have one prophet. He is not mentioned in any other scripture.
We have sixty eight prophets.

Probably some homosexual or pope-worshiping heretics.
It gets harder and harder each day to deal with bergogilo
Christian here, I dont rejoice in crucifiction and victimhood. Turn the other cheek is nonsense. Love thy neighbor, nonsense. Permit evil to live, god will judge, nonsense.
Bring back badass christianity. Wrath of god type stuff. Burn the heretic. God will judge, so will I
>Christian here, I dont rejoice in crucifiction and victimhood. Turn the other cheek is nonsense. Love thy neighbor, nonsense. Permit evil to live, god will judge, nonsense
You have no idea wtf you qre talking about. There s no such thing as badass Christianity, Jesus teaches to turn the other cheek because this world doesn't matter
he also teaches to flip over tables and beat people with a whip when they dont act right
Christianity is a religion of peacemakers, not pacifists.
>Turn the other cheek
It means don't ape out like a Black person because someone said something you don't like, if anything Jesus is preaching stoicism here.
>Love thy neighbor
Objectively good morals. Only caring about yourself is very israeli.
>Permit Evil to live
Lmao. See Noah's ark, Sodom and Gomorrah, Canaan, and Matthew 18:6
>God will judge
He will, and his punishment will be far worse than anything we can do.
>Bring back badass Christianity. Wrath of god type stuff. Burn the heretic. God will judge, so will I
Agreed.
Yes and no , no because I’m trying to hide it inorder to blend in better and serve as a spy for /misc/ and the natso cause

Christ is risen, the crucifix is like wearing a photo of your brother on a hospital sick bed after he has recovered and been released.
Cross is usually takes as a symbol of victory though
Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see another fricking cross?
I hate towelhead religions
>Dude! ALL RELIGION
Say the specific one you obvious israelite
i don’t call myself a christian anymore because i believe jesus is going to save good people regardless of whether they know he’s real or not, and i also believe good people exist because they are born of god, and apparently christians don’t
Hell is ultimately a separation from God. So I think the higher levels of hell will be filled with sighs, not screams
Impossible, since God is everywhere, and wills everything. You literally can't exist outside of God.
>Wills everything
Calvinist type beat.
I believe in free will, God may push me in a direction, but in the end it's my decision.
Is God in hell?
>Romans 8:29- 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers
>Ephesians 1:4-5- 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
>Revelation 13:8- and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.
>Revelation 17:8- The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.
>Matthew 25:34- Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
>John 15:16- 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you
>John 6:44- 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day
Predestination is a trick one because our concept of time limits us to what we know is happening in the present and past. God sits outside of that and is all knowing, so in a sense it's not predestination, but a knowing of how things will play out.
Never delved into Calvinist thought. But yes, that is one interpretation. God's presence is in hell, but is being rejected by people in hell. In some interpretations say its the God's love that burns the sinners. Its more consistent with attributes he is claimed to have.
Free will is part of Christian view that makes no sense, since again, God wills everything. Trying to go around the issue always violates either his omnipotence or omniscience.
Pre-destination means that some people are just dammed to hell automatically, it's one of the main issues with Islam.
>God's presence is in hell
I disagree. God's presence is on earth, but we aren't fully connected to him since it's a fallen world, Hell is the rejection of God/Christ.
I'm not catholic. The holy spirit is in me. Why would I need an outward indicator of faith when the inward one is all that matters?
You're not supposed to hide your light under a basket, brother. Prots, man. Yeesh.
so the Cats gave the world virtue signalling. No wonder your church is ran by homosexual Black personlover. If he had any hair, I'm sure it would be green.

3. israeliteelry is an adornment and it is not for men. men are for the glory of God, women are for the glory of men.
The only israeliteelry I wear is a SS honor ring replica as a wedding band.
'My honor is loyalty' features as much in your marriage as it does in politics.
>SS honor ring
>die infidel
You are indeed an infidel.
1. Yes

3. I have mine warped around my balls. Since the Bible teaches us to wear Jesus and God near our most precious place.
I have always been someone who does everything either 100% or not at all. If I was to start praying daily and growing in my faith I would also start street preaching and telling people about the hell that awaits us all if we do not give our sins up to Jesus and turn away from them. How many people have premarital sex? Literally everyone does and it's a sin according to the bible. How many people lie? Literally everyone does and it's a sin according to the bible? Most of us sin regularly and we don't even ask for forgiveness in earnest and turn from our sins no matter how big or small they are. It's just normal to sin and apparently to pray and pretend we're good Christians.
One of my bigger hangups with Christianity is that we are suppose to simply believe in Jesus and that will absolve our sin. Well, if we really believe, wouldn't we also stop our willful sinning? It seems to me that not many people actually believe.

Yes Christian, but I don't sleep with the cross. I might break my necklace. But the Holy Bible is on the table right next to me.

I am Christian. I don't wear a cross. I do wear a small pendant depicting Christ exiting his tomb with his arms arms raised in victory. I only take it off when I shower.
1. Yes
2. No
3. Public displays of faith are vain and decadent when among believers. If you are not facing persecution in which expressing your faith takes courage, you are simply virtue signaling, which is wrong.
Agreed. I always wear mine under my shirt. This goes with fasting as well. Your faith should be shown through your deeds rather than superficial display.
Interesting flag....
I watched Vatican live stream recently and heard a dog barking.
Holy shit, it's the fricking Pope!
can't a homie shitpost in peace?

I've been wondering about the connection between religion and fear of death.
When religions arose the world was poorly understood and sciences little advanced, many people died seemingly random and arbitrary deaths, few living to old age. Gods helped to make sense of that.
Now with a better understanding of sciences these last 2-300 years people's faith has been weakening, religions become watered down, and people become atheists and the like.
Will Christianity and similar religions make a return once the world becomes more chaotic and too complex for people's understanding (which is already in process)? Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
And if it randomly starts zapping people left and right beyond explanation (thank you, OpenAI) will people attribute it to gods, especially once their society collapses and such technology becomes utterly unreproduciable, while modern medicine fails as well?
>when the techno-barbarian warlords rule
Currently religion honestly isn't very useful. It doesn't explain much, and even less reliably so.
Its only utility is perpetuating culture.
