You better believe there's a God. It there's no God, that means we're already in Hell.

It's better to believe there is a God than to disbelieve there is a God.

If there were no God, it would still be the case that this realm, right here, is regarded as earth.

If there's no god then there's no hell

      >If there's no god then there's no hell
Hell is the absence of God.

Suffering through life and then after dying dissapearing into oblivion might as well be hell.

It repeats forever. Maybe not the same each time but it happens. We were nonexistent at one point, then we came into existence. Even if it takes 999999999999999999999999999899 trillion years, and that time will pass instantly when you're unconscious.

That sounds better, but atheists think you dissapear forever.

Honestly i don't even think we even know where we were before birth, our memories could've been erased, so when you die we'll go to the same place we came from. I no longer think it was oblivion what was before birth, instead it was erased so it became plank and our minds thought it was nothing. Instead it's just unknown, same for what happens after death, just unknown.

I'm an agnostic. I don't believe what I posted as some kind of hard fact, I just think it's a real possibility that many braindead atheists overlook.
One alternative is that after heat death, the universe just remains empty forever and nothing happens again. I can buy the universe remaining stagnant for a long time, but nothing happening for eternity? Not even after 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 years? You can't say anything definitive about that kind of timescale.

I never understood this sentiment, eternal consciousness is daunting

It can be a different kind of consiousness then this we have here, maybe a less hellish realm.

people who want eternal oblivion must be really depressed because they don't have the desire to live or to be.

Both hell and gods are works of fiction. This is the only world and life we got until proven otherwise.

      >It there's no God, that means we're already in Hell.
      Why?

You're objectively evil because you think not having an objective moral standard isn't a problem.

My thoughts on whether something exists or not do not determine whether it does exist. If I pretended the universe has a rulebook for moral right and wrongs or if I thought it was made by some guy with a list, that wouldn’t make it real.
You follow countless moral rules that don’t come from the Bible but come from your time and culture, and you ignore plenty of rules in the Bible.

        >objective moral standard
Even with something like that rationalizations to do unsavory awful acts can still happen.

Well, Christians believe we are already somewhat in hell since Satan rules this world for the time being...

It is a disgrace that Oyish is not split into Oyish and /rel/.
At least according to https://4stats.io/ , Oyish has similar daily average posts per day as /gif/ , and they're wasted on such inane garbage as religion/anti-religion "debates".
Even if splitting off /rel/ would take half the traffic, it would still be above Oyish.
