Because Hindus are completely immune to proselytization, due to their extremely high IQs, prehistoric religious traditions, and enormous phalli.

Converting to Christianity in both countries lost you social status.
    >China
Wouldn't be able worship your ancestors or pass the heavily Confucian imperial examination
    >India
    Would lose your caste status

Then why didn't all the lowest castes convert to christianity?

Many have done, all of the Christian converts in India are tribals and untouchables
Being outside of the caste system was even worse than being a backwards caste

          >Being outside of the caste system was even worse than being a backwards caste
It depends on the context. Yes life is hard if you are a tribal person living a hunter-gatherer lifestyle with no education in India.

However plenty of Caucasian westerners who are outside the caste system have gone to India, studied Hinduism with Brahmins and been treated with respect.

how the frick does that even work? Wouldn’t this lead to some goofy ass beliefs because they literally only believe what they see first hand with their own eyes?

China has 100 million Christians albeit lots of them belong to schizo cults like in south Korea

Same reason the rest of south/east asia didn't. Pre existing written traditions and no christian rulers with enough time to eradicate local culture. Muslims parts of it long enough to spawn Pakistan Indonesia and others

fun fact, indians call their christians ricebags because they're bottom tier peasants who converted in exchange for a bag of rice.

Protestants and Catholics try to proselytize there. The one thing that makes Indians and Pakistanis put their differences aside and work together is terrorizing their Christian/Catholic/Mormon minorities. The Chinese did have a Christian minority in their farther Western provinces, but Timur the Lame and the Qings totally destroyed the church there.

    >India
Literal State Religion among Hindu & Indian Kingdoms
    >China
See, Christianity has a better chance in China compared to India. The Imperial Dynasties had no state religion (the State > Church in Chinese political culture), they rule over an empire of multiple cultures and religions who are allowed to do whatever so long as they keep the peace and the Imperial Laws, and Christians were historically allowed to preach in China (still do to this day).

The problem here isn't China but Christianity. The only way a foreign religion can succeed in China is to do what Buddhism did and be syncretized into local Folk Chinese/Taoist/Confucian beliefs. But since Christianity is a dogmatic religion it gets tremendously butthurt whenever Chinese Christians worship Jesus alongside other deities and their ancestors, or don't feel the need to follow scripture that much, nor some weird high priest in a different country. When this happens they either disparage or discourage this from their converts, belittle or disrespect their native customs and beliefs, causing their converts to leave, or start their own folk cults, or causing trouble so much that the state gets involved.

tl;dr Christoids are too autistic for Chinese spiritual practices.

Catholicism was able to synchronize some aspects folk religion in Latin America and the Philippines .

That's just low level syncretism. I'm talking about breaking-the-first-commandment-tier completely pagan tier syncretism.

At one point China nearly was, but then Kublai Khan died and they were expelled from the lands for being un Chinese.
China itself is probably home to more practicing Christians than all of Western Europe at this point.

In the case of the chinese and other east asian cultures, they don't care about the questions brought by abrahamic religions, like human existence, the origin of life and the universe, a creator of all thing. For east asians, the universe is simply reduced to the physical world were they live, so budhism becomes the choice that suits them.

      >they don't care about the questions brought by abrahamic religions, like human existence, the origin of life and the universe, a creator of all thing.
They do care, they just have their own creation myths and see the abrahamic one as being silly.
For example Japanese shinto religion is one of the few to predict the world won't end. While Christians are still primitive enough to believe in the second coming. In this area of thinking east Asia is already superior to the west.

They had a chance. Hong Rengan was the protagonist of Chinese history and was a moderate taiping, basically just a protestant, who was genuinely confused when the Brits tossed him under the buss.
Had they supported him China would have undergone Japanese style reform, China would be the largest Christian country in the world, and Mao never would have happened.
