His middle and ring fingers (hilariously now viewed as devil horns) are used on his heart because the heart is electromagnetic. Those fingers cause the electromagnetic energy to "grow" (it causes his light to shine harder) and to "pull" beings closer to him because he is connected to God as indicated by the halo. Beings are magnetically attracted to him as a result, for our souls long to be reconnected with divinity

When you've cultivated a large degree of light in your heart center there will be a "dark divide'' felt between your inner light, and the experience of feeling light, airy, godly, connected, pure, etc. This dark divide is why so many are blinded to the existence of God, our connectedness, our true nature, and things like that. Our true selves desire to get as close to God's light as possible, but we, being gods children, are allowed to cultivate our own light. When someone awakens they have a direct connection to divinity, and so people are magnetically attracted to the awakened individual because the awakened individual is the closest thing they can perceive to that connection to God. An awakened individual might receive upgrades in the form of mudras and energy manipulation. His hands stretch the light farther, severing the dark divide and attracting his "flock" so that he may shepherd them home

It's a symbol of holiness or godliness, or a god. Here's a Pagan version (Lugh Lamfadah)

It's not sun symbolism, it's the white light representative of the crown. It's in every esoteric current not just the christian, as an example both Kether (first sephira, the crown too) and Sahasrara (crown chakra) are both represented by the emanation of light and corresponded to the crown of the head.

Coincidentally Kether is considered to be the sephira most closely connected to Malkuth (material kingdom) and the "portal" to reincarnation into it. It's not a coincidence it's depicted with white light.

Because Christ is the spirit pf Barbelo, the light who was self in the Pleroma (the dwelling place of the one). He is the number one SUN.

The pleroma isn't a place, it's a correspondence to the holy spirit, mezla, prana, etc. And Barbelo is just the feminine emanation of the monad, kether, sahasrara....etc, it corresponds to every other feminine divine aspect of the other currents, like Binah or Inanna.

In any case the halo, crown or the divine feminine don't have direct correspondences with the sun.

It's not the sun. It is Brahman, pure spiritual energy/light/awareness.

Common symbol equated to holiness, might have its origins in the concept of "head spirits," that is holy tutelary spirits tied to people who act as instructors and guides.

    > And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Probably reference to this part about how God appears to mortals.
