Salafism. It is geopolitical luddism and incompatible with modern statecraft and war.

It tooks Islamic warriors nearly a thousand years to finally conquer Constantinople

Well, actually, Islamic empires didn't just magically spread on their own. They were built through conquest, warfare, political alliances, economic expansion, and other factors. It's not like everyone just woke up one day and decided to convert to Islam and join the empire.

Why is this mosque a consecrated christian church? Where is the will of Allah? How come christian Al-Andalus is rich and first world while islamic North Africa is a poor brown shithole? Looks like Allah is christian after all!

    >Why did Islamic empires spread so quickly?
Violence, intimidation, and trade. That's pretty much it. Same with most religions prior to the modern era.

Depends on the era you're talking about. I would argue, however, that the only time Islam "spread quickly" in a military/political sense was during the Umayyad days, and that was because the major powers of the world (Rome and Persia) had utterly exhausted themselves. This allowed early Islamic expansion to occupy vast areas of land that already had complex bureaucracies in place. That said, the Umayyads would have been a very brief thing if not for the succeeding Abbasids, who slowed expansion significantly (save for their battles against Tang China, which placed Central Asia in the Dar-El-Islam) but whose expert consolidation and rulership ensured that recent conquests would remain in Muslim stewardship for centuries to come. You'll notice that after the Umayyads Islamic political expansion more or less slows to a crawl, with the subjugation of Anatolia and North India taking centuries and Spain eventually falling.

Wasn't it the Abbasid revolution that brought about the long islamic decline in the first place? They just kept losing and losing authority over lands, until the khalif became just a badge of pride this or that foreign sultan attached to their court, to live off charity?

Umayyads were losing territory in their final few decades. They lost half of north africa, parts of india, central asia, and failed in their seieges of constaninople. The Abbasids reconquered central asia and kept hold of the remaining territories for over a century before beginning to lose them
