What does the Bible say I should do about sexual intrusive thoughts? How do I make them go away?

What does the Bible say I should do about sexual intrusive thoughts? How do I make them go away? It's beyond the level of other temptations like the temptation to overeat or be lazy. They're actual intrusive thoughts, almost all the time.

    >And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter eternal life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

Just know that all your thoughts are not necessarily your own. Lead a productive life to stop caring about them so much.
Not the bible but this could be helpful:

You should find this sermon/talk very informative and useful. Uses the Bible as foundation for all teaching:

I will say that you can't clean up your life if you haven't yet placed your trust in Christ alone.

You must call out to God for salvation. Know that you will never be freed from your sins if you haven't taken Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.

When you do this, God will give you the power to defeat your sins. But until you submit to Christ's righteousness by placing your faith in Him, you will remain forever in bondage to sin.

      >We know that our old self[a] was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free[b] from sin.
      Romans 6:6

You should read Romans 6 (if you claim to be a Christian, you should be reading the Bible every day anyway, but this chapter is specifically relevant):

Realise that you are a sinner, that you can do nothing to save yourself, that you deserve hell. And then understand that Jesus Christ will save you completely if you give yourself to Him. Call out for salvation and to be set free from your sins, and He will do it.

If this is true, then you will have been born again, and you will have a thirst to read the Word of God.

So, it's not about "you need to read at least one chapter a day to be a Christian". Instead, it's "if you are Christian, you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and will have a desire to read the Bible".

It's not that I never read the Bible, I just feel like I don't read it enough. But I don't know how much "enough" is

We have this example in Joshua, where God commands that Joshua "meditate on [Scripture] day and night".

            >This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
            Joshua 1:8

Jesus states that man shall not live on bread alone, but also on Scripture. How often do we eat? Every day? Multiple times per day? This should give us an idea of how regularly we should be studying the Bible.

            >4 But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
            Matthew 4:4

Reading the Bible should never be a chore. If you feel like you don't read it enough, then read it more. Have a time you set apart to read it. Study it, not just skimming over the words. Listen to sermons.

            Here's a good video:

But again, make sure that you have truly called out to Jesus Christ for salvation. There are many who claim to be Christian, but are not. Christianity isn't a religion of "does and don'ts" – it isn't a religion where we need to read our Bibles a certain number of times per day. Rather, it's a religion that involves the supernatural rebirth of a believer by the Holy Spirit, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, by the will of God the Father.

Thoughts of adultery are harmful, it says.

In reference to thoughts, control of thoughts, and the proper way to attend to thoughts, there is this buddhist sutra that outlines a practice that I think it good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end, wholly do-able and commendable: https://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/mn/mn.020.than.html

don't dwell on them, let them just go away.
they're bound to happen, and not a sin; the sin comes from entertaining those thoughts further, and feeding them your imagination.

there's a more physical explanation in looking:
suppose your eye catches someone dressing improperly, immodestly.
You couldn't really stop yourself from seeing it on accident, but you should and must not keep looking.
the sin is staring lustfully, and looking more times.

And along not dwelling on them, start praying.
Pray that God frees you from it, and keep praying and pushing them away until you're rid of it.

And Christians should also be replacing evil thoughts with thoughts of Christ.

      >Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
      Philippians 4:8

        >can't I choose which good I will do

What point are you trying to make?

The natural human being (the human that hasn't been saved by God) has free will, but they will only choose to do evil, because their nature is evil.

The human that has been saved by God can do good, because God has given them a new heart. So it is God working through the believer so that the believer does good works.

Yes but you will be judged by God on the totality of all your actions, and without faith in Christ not even one man in a generation might be eligible to be with God in Heaven. Through Christ you are saved because He poured out His blood in atonement for our sins, His Grace and Mercy permit the undeserving to join be with our Maker and have eternal life
