What do you hate most about your religion/sect?

>Eastern Orthodox
>I hate the heresy of Ethnophyletism
Some churches (especially the Greeks are guilty of this) treat the church as an ethnic club and not a universal institution. For example, I've heard stories of inquirers going to a Greek Orthodox church and being refused because they weren't Greek. The Greeks also keep appointing Greek Patriarchs in Jerusalem and Alexandria despite the population being mostly Arab. Patriarchate of Constantinople also only does liturgy in Greek and and not Turkish, which they should to try to evangelize the Turks.
Of course this is not often the case in Orthodoxy. I attend a Japanese Orthodox parish and half of the attendees are from different nationalities and we all commune as brothers in Christ

Aren't Lutherans supposed to believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist?
How is that compatible Evangelical type worship?

That doesn’t change anything. Lutherans still believe in real presence. Holy communion will probably not be at contemporary service or it will happen like once a month. CoWo vs divine service is similar to the tradlarper Roman Catholics decrying novus ordo masses. CoWo at a Lutheran church will replace traditional hymns with contemporary music with a band. The pastor won’t wear his robes. He’ll usually just be wearing his collar. It is centered on the self and the crappy modern music the church band plays.

          Church of England
Theological liberalism is the worst thing, but it affects all denominations in the west.

There is some of that over here as well, a lot of my local congregation moved from the church in the neighbouring town because they got rid of the liturgy for contemporary worship. Thankfully my local church is very good in that regard, it's even more liturgical than my local Catholic church, the building is much more beautiful too. So that makes me laugh at online Catholic apologists acting like every Protestant church is a bare concert hall while every Catholic church is a cathedral.

95% of those posters are Americans like Nick Fuentes types, they're very easily confused by the existence of Protestant Cathedrals like the Berliner Dom, St Paul's, St Giles', etc.

Yeah I've been to some hideously ugly Catholic churches too.

Wait is the band taking center stage in the altar?

There's no altar in contemporary worship, it's just a music show.

Not at my church it was off to the side. I haven’t been to one since I was forced to when I had to be an acolyte and I got scheduled for CoWo.

Bartholomew also engages in ecumenism and recognises the OCU which is illegitimate, so it's not surprising.

I'm not part of any church right now but I was raised Southern Baptist. I left it because it felt hollow. The church was obsessed with baptizing you but then afterwards there wasn't really anything else to their idea of the Christian life besides attend church every week.

Wish the leadership spoke a bit tougher and stopped supressing traditional mass. I'm not one of those TradCath Latin larpers, but what's so wrong with it? If you're joining the church, you're already expecting Latin and something classical.

    It is.
It's an ethnic religion and the way Hellenic culture survived (although molested) to the modern day.
The Ottoman millet system played a role too, conflating Christian Greek/Laz/Anatolian Christians as Greek, while Greek Muslims as Turkish.

also those morons who think the church should be that ultra-nationalistic institution and forget that it has been an international body of believers since the dream of st.peter, he said make disciples of all nations, not idk make it only for the white europeans or something

TradCaths (most of whom I'm convinced have never been to mass) seem to miss the memo on this. The fact that the religion was not founded by Europeans should be a giveaway for them.

Greeks are exclusionary but Russians have the problem of expecting you to become exactly like them and ignoring a lot of their cultural practices are purely cultural and not a universal required thing within Orthodoxy.

Autistic anti-protestism. For the most part it’s Protestants are devout Christians who just have some fundemental disagreements because they just can’t. see/believe our perspective. It’s not malicious or out of a hatred of God and are far closely to Christian Orthodoxy than the Palamites are.
Most of the issues with the Church are slowly being addressed for the most part.
