Haplogroup blanket statements tells you something about an individual almost as much his astrological sign tells you

Tesla? He's responsible for creating AC current.
His rival, Edison, got so angry at Tesla he used Tesla's AC current to invent the electric chair to slander it as dangerous.

See? This right there. He didn’t invent AC and that Edison feud story is bullshit

Tesla was just an average scientist even during his period, the myth is that he was a misunderstood scientist and recluse while in reality he did everything to promote himself more so than any other scientist in his time.

        >Thanks to the Tesla revival, every absurd claim he made to newspapers back in the day is now being repeated as fact. The truth is that Tesla made many claims so far out of left field that they would destroy a scientist’s credibility even today, often with no evidence or results to back them up. But if Tesla was crazy, he was crazy like a fox. Oftentimes, his claims were reported shortly before the historical experiments of other scientists.

        >For example, when Marconi was gearing up for some important radio signal tests, Tesla told the media that he had already received radio transmissions that he believed were from Mars. With his technology, he claimed, we would soon be able to communicate with other planets almost instantaneously. Other projects he claimed to be working on included a torpedo that could be recalled even after being fired and a powerful death ray.

        >As bizarre as these claims sounded, they gave the impression that Tesla was light-years ahead of everyone else. But if the general public was impressed, the scientific community was decidedly not, regarding Tesla as being mostly full of hot air. While this is an overreaction—Tesla certainly did contribute to our body of scientific knowledge—the plausibility of many of Tesla’s inventions is greatly exaggerated.

People have been overhyping Tesla for a lot longer than that. My boomer dad liked to talk about just how cool Tesla was when I was a kid.

Yeah, it’s because Tesla overhyped himself. His autobiography is pure schizoautistic narcissism. People fall for it the same way they fall for all personality cults.

He's actually more important than the hype, it's not just the alternating current, but the induction motor, plasma globe, Tesla turbine and valve, rotating magnetic field, hydroelectric plant, cryogenic engineering, transistor, modern electric motor, wireless remote control, neon lighting, wireless communication, and the radio. This man has single-handedly revolutionized and catapulted humanity's total understanding and mastery of electricity and wireless transition of energy to the point where we have entered an age of limitless technological development, the only man to come close to him in that regard, is yet again, someone from Croatia - Marin Soljacic. Don't be ungrateful.

To Tesla, the Theory of Relativity was just “a mass of error and deceptive ideas violently opposed to the teachings of great men of science of the past and even to common sense. The theory wraps all these errors and fallacies and clothes them in magnificent mathematical garb which fascinates, dazzles and makes people blind to the underlying error. The theory is like a beggar clothed in purple whom ignorant people take for a king. Its exponents are very brilliant men, but they are metaphysicists rather than scientists.”
