The whole reason abrahamic religions spread is through fear l. It's very efficient.
Imagine lil Ubuntu playing with sticks out in the woods happy in nature and a bunch of Europeans show up and are like yeah you're going to eternally burn in hell unless you believe in this book. Pretty scary. Plus some times they were forced through violence.

Yes but while you only sometimes had to fear violence from missionaries you always have to fear violence from God if he's putting you in a firey hell. Although I don't believe all Christians take hell literally anymore

        >This is not Christianity
Yeah you could argue fake shitty people spread Christianity for a long time in many cases. Many people claim to be Christians are shitty people who just want to be forgiven after being shitty people. Many people who claim to be Christians don't go to church or read the Bible.
The way many "Christians" act is not Christianity but they can no doubt spread a half assed version of the word. Especially when the bible was all in Latin and the church used that knowledge as manipulation power.

          incorrect
terrible people exist everywhere regardless of their race, culture, ethnicity, political standings or any other ideological system
          >christians are shitty people
          >christians don't act as christians
          >christians don't read the bible and don't go to church
there is just a small fraction of people to which this can be applied, the majority are people like any other, with their flaws, who try to follow the word and are no better or worse than unbelievers or practitioners of other religions/spiritual practices
          also
          >bible was all in Latin and the church used that knowledge as manipulation power
shows that ignorance of the bible and it's message made it possible for them to be manipulated in a first place, not to mention, orthodox church and protestants are foreign to this idea of "le church manipulated and forced poor people to become chirstcucks"
all in all, classical case of midwitery

          >Not a single Theravada buddhist calls Mahayana heresy.
they do, theravada have a weirdly high amount of hardliners
          >Attacking other religions is an obstacle to nibbana.
this is absolutely not the case, any legitimate buddhist will try to win over converts and assail other religions
buddhists have the longest history of missionary activity of all religions and for branches like mahayana it's a core value to help others reach enlightenment which fundamentally necessiates tearing down other religions as buddhism is the only path to enlightenment
the only buddhist sects that advocate co-existence, or claim validity of other religions, are secularised, politicised or ethnic sects like tibetan buddhism which is all three; or "western buddhism" which is more of a moral-philosophical system than legitimate buddhism

If Dharmic religion had outpaced Abrahamic the world would be about 150 times closer to being a living hell. Abrahamic religions brought everything. Buddhism and Hinduism are fricking insane and nothing like what white western hippies depict them as. I can’t speak for Sikhism or Jainism but doing a prayer for forgiveness for all the living things you will unintentionally kill on a living day including microscopic organisms is absurd. If another creature dies by default of my mere existence in proximity to it then clearly that is mean ti he and I am in fact serving a purpose to cull the herd of microscopic creepy crawlies. I should have to beg nature for forgiveness for that. Nature can give me a raise for doing her job for her. Dharmic religions are either schizophrenic and backwards or overly meticulous and pacifist

If buddhism had "taken over" like some globohomosexual CONVOOOORT focused religion only like 2% of the population would be practicing monks chasing after nirvana. The rest would be regular people just trying to do more good and less bad.

there can be, but buddhism is never for the masses, is completely incompatibility with all the tools and goals of any society ever created so far, and the masses don't even care about buddhism and even if they start caring, they hate to hear about not being an hedonist or generic householder.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohingya_genocide
The persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar dates back to at least the 1970s.[11] Since then, the Rohingya people have been persecuted on a regular basis by the government and Buddhist nationalists.[12] In late 2016, Myanmar's armed forces and police launched a major crackdown against the people in Rakhine State which is located in the country's northwestern region. The Burmese military was accused of committing ethnic cleansing and genocide by various United Nations agencies, International Criminal Court officials, human rights groups, journalists, and governments.[13][14][15] The UN[16][17][18] found evidence of wide-scale human rights violations, including extrajudicial killings; summary executions; gang rapes; arson of Rohingya villages, businesses, and schools; and infanticides. The Burmese government dismissed these findings by stating they are "exaggerations".[19][20] Using statistical extrapolations which were based on surveys which were conducted with a total of 3,321 Rohingya refugee households in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, a study which was conducted in January 2018 estimated that the military and the local Rakhine population killed at least 25,000 Rohingya people and perpetrated gang rapes and other forms of sexual violence against 18,000 Rohingya women and girls. They estimated that 116,000 Rohingya were beaten, and 36,000 were thrown into fires.[21][22][23]

    MASSIVE COPE
All the mentioned religion or the empires which patronised them always had a violent history. This history has been whitewashed to make sheep out of the followers of those religion.

The only religion that stuck to it's values is Islam (well somewhat).

The world was, is and always will be fighting. Even if you convert all the people submit to one god/religion, sects will form out of that religion, infighting would ensue and new religions will form by itself.
