I'm asking this again from the religious community of Oyish. Are you able to provide me empirical evidence that your god or gods exist? Or do you just blindly believe in something because it makes you feel better?

I used to cringe at /misc/ Diogenes fan boys until I lived in a barrel. Best time of my life.

I’ll save you the time anon. They’re just blindly believing in gods because it gives them short term pleasure and alleviates fear of death

What would count as empirical evidence?

If I were a Christian still, I would be hammering my best arguments and most convincing pieces of evidence. I would not be timid and submissive like you are being. I would be selling the best cases for Jesus being god as hard as I could.
The only reason I would be doing what you’re doing is if I didn’t have proof or an argument but wanted to stall.
      Not op btw

That didn't quite answer my question, did it... What would count as empirical evidence?

I’m not op and I know you don’t have any. I’m just pointing out how things would go if you did.

I need to know what he considers to be empirical evidence to answer the question.

No you don’t. If you had any you could just post the most convincing empirical evidence that you know of.
Hell you could even explain why you don’t have any but make your best case anyway.

What you’re doing instead is just pretending you don’t know what empirical evidence is so you can excuse not having any.
You don’t have a good case regardless

Empirical evidence has a meaning. If I don't know what he is asking for, how could I answer?

Bring the dead back to life
            Just once
            And I will believe

Well, Jesus came back to life. Also revived 3 people.

There were hundreds of witnesses that Jesus came back from the dead.

Why is the only evidence you'll accept empirical? Can you give empirical evidence that empirical evidence is the only way to truth?

I can't but I'm not asking for the truth I'm asking for ANY empirical evidence.

What would accept as empirical evidence? How would you devise an experiment that empirically-tests for the existence of God?

    >your God
There is only God, son. And he is not mine, or yours. It is only God.
    >how to prove It?
Only you can prove God to yourself. You must want it to deserve such revelation. Nobody else will be able to prove God to you, no matter how smart this person thinks she is.

Not Holy. Not Roman. Not an Emperor.

Yes it is a blind belief. However to say that the believers of christ, God and or gods to that extent are following their religion blindly, is false. Their truth is their beliefs. Your facts are not theirs.

It ends with that. As a believer in christ and one God, I applaud your righteous endeavors to seek truth and search for evidence. However, I hope you one day find that the truth and evidence of God and Christ is found in your heart.

Don’t you think this viewpoint is inherently flawed? The mind can make itself believe almost anything if one tries hard enough. Certain coincidences and events can trick the mind into thinking it’s being watched. I have had moments in my life were my mind was changed for the better and the mental clarity from it can be interpreted as God speaking to me or touching my soul. But these events are just that: interpretations. It is not grounded in reality, only in your perception of thoughts and events. How can you say things like “you’ll find it in your heart” or “when he speaks to you you will know”? I have had moments such as this where the thought of divine intervention has crossed my mind, but to believe that this is what is actually happening is nonsensical. No matter how hard you believe it was due to divine nature, all you’re doing is convincing yourself, forming a feedback loop in your mind.

You dumb Black folk think that because you've "written" off the bible as non-evidence that you are immune to Christianity. But, the sad reality is that your atheist assumptions aren't based on observable science. For evolution to make any sense the earth and the universe need to be billions of years old. But, seeing as you can't observe and report the findings you make hypothetical situations to fill in whatever you fancy. Your theories are on the foundation of people who hated Christ and his teachings and were desperate to separate from the Christian worldview. Look at Sutton's work. The father of old earth theory. He had nothing other than assumptions with no observations. He looked at the rock layers looked at the fossil records and tried to hammer a naturalist worldview into the scientific community. He provided no new data or proof. It was pure ideological hatred for creationism. His bias clear as day in his writing. He wasn't trying to figure out the truth. He just hated Christians and tried to and successfully swayed idiots who thought they were bigger and smarter than they actually were into believing his drivel.
There are no observable instances of simple organisms turning into complex organisms. Other than black people there are no observable similarities between humans and monkeys.
    Nothing cannot create something.

    >Are you able to provide me empirical evidence that your god or gods exist?
No, the same way you can't give me empirical evidence that 2+2=4.
My belief in god is a philosophical position based on my own reasoning. I don't claim to "know" that any particular deity exists but I find the existence of some kind of god far more likely than the universe, life and consciousness just appearing out of nowhere.
    >Or do you just blindly believe in something because it makes you feel better?
If you examine your own beliefs I think you'll find quite a few things you blindly believe because they make you feel better. That's not necessarily a bad thing it's just how humans are.
