>if God real why bad thing happen?

>if God real why bad thing happen?
Counter-argument: If God isn't real, why do good things happen? Can scientists explain the entirely human phenomena of the concept of good and bad without making a single reference to the metaphysical? Don't leave me waiting

      >atheists
      >there is no God, and good only comes from random chance

      >also atheists
      >there is bad in the world, so therefore God isn't real
      Congratulations, you answered nothing.

        The problem of evil is an internal critique.

          Internal of humans only right? So it's a human concept. Can humans explain it with science, besides knowing that we are born knowing that this is bad, and this is wrong. You know, the human conscious which gives us our intelligence.

            You don't understand what "internal critique" means, dimwit. It means that you grant a set of premises for the sake of the argument and then attempt to point out contradictions within these premises.
            If you want to say "the concepts of good and bad exist within the human consciousness and science hasn't sufficiently explained how the human mind works", then the entire argument about good and bad is just a red herring.

            Oh right so, the metaphysical, because science can't explain it

            You also don't understand what "metaphysical" means. It doesn't mean "beyond physics" in the sense that ghosts would be beyond physics, it traditionally refers to topics in Aristotle's works which were physically placed next to (after) his lectures on physics on a shelf.

            The theory of forms? Where he holds good as the highest form of metaphysical good. So you referenced the metaphysical again. And you actually can't explain the human concept of good and bad without doing it. Read my OP again

        How is random chanche inconsistent with

        good = thing I like
        bad = thing I don't like

        ?

          It means you have a double standard. You use bad as an excuse for no God, yet there is also good in the world, which you ignore completely. When asked about the existence of good you simply say "random chance". It's almost like you have a bias or something

            I don't see the ptoblem, random events are bound to be either good or bad or neutral, there is no deeper reason.
            The problem of evil comes if you say a good god is supervising the universe

      You just named a bunch of bad, without naming a single good which also exists in this world. I am not neglecting the suffering of others, however there is love, compassion, friendship, happiness, joy, beauty. All these things you ignore because there is suffering, and I acknowledge both, but you refuse one, because it is beneficial of your hatred to something you don't believe exists. Read the literal first book of the Bible, good came first, and bad was hijacked into it. It was never Gods intention
