Of course you do, because you can’t adapt. You’re incapable like all Christians. That’s the entire point of Christianity - glorification of the incapable. It was a religion of women, slaves, children and the underclasses.

It is a disgrace that Oyish is not split into Oyish and /rel/.
At least according to https://4stats.io/ , Oyish has similar daily average posts per day as /gif/ , and they're wasted on such inane garbage as religion/anti-religion "debates".
Even if splitting off /rel/ would take half the traffic, it would still be above Oyish.

Oyish can be discussed objectively, it should be fact-based (not always true, but only due to quality of discussion, not due to nature of history).
          /rel/ by definition is belief-based.
As such, they attract entirely different classes of discussions and people. There is probably very little intersection between people preaching their religions and people that are interested in the history of various past peoples.
What's more, when a preacher enters a thread with only history and fact oriented people, they demoralise and derail the thread most often.

Too bad history and humanites are so intertwined with religion. Only moronic spergs would try to separate religion from those 2 things.
You really can't provide a rich analysis of the past (or present) with out acknowledging religion and taking its belief system into account.

There is a difference between discussing what effects on some peoples this or that religion had, and preaching that religion. Most religion-related "discussions" here are not
            >If not for Protestant cult of work and praise of austerity, would Dutch Golden Age be possible? Or would they remain a backwater in Spanish Catholic hegemony?
            or
            >What would be the implications on Franko-Lombard relations if Winnili hadn't replaced Frea's fertility cult with Goden monolatry?
            but instead are
            >One can clearly read in The Holy Scripture translated by Calvinists that Calvinism is right, why are C*tholics moronic?
            >I am atheist, prove to me Christianity / I am Christian, you cannot disprove God. This is axiomatic.
            >What would be proper penance for masturbators according to Twelver Shias? Should Imams call for beheading of fornicators during Ramadan, or is it against Quran?
You have to either be a drooling moron or arguing in bad faith if you cannot distinguish between these two.
Preachers, anti-theists and lunatics belong on /rel/ (maybe some lunatics on /x/).
            History enjoyers belong on Oyish.
            Simple as.

Not sure about philosophers, half of philosophy-related talk here devolves into arguing about faith or (dis)provability of god anyways.

Why are there so many religion posts now anyways? I haven't checked this board in a while and I don't remember there being this much theological stuff before, just that one JW artgay

Dunno. I remember several years ago /rel/ was only sporadic, now it is half of catalogue. This has never been a great board, but I'd rather have it even slower but on topic, than to be flooded with preachers.
Discussing religions in secular manner in regards to historical contexts is fine of course and should be encouraged.

Even ignoring the religious aspect of this, they clearly didn't actually respect you as a person if they weren't willing to respect your personal choices.

Sex only has the value you put into it. To some people, there's more to life than chasing temporary pleasures, and for others, sex without an emotional connection is a mechanical act that feels good, but isn't anything special or worth perusing.

A true friend won't let you wreck your life because of a "personal choice". Also, while chasing after pussy might not be the most productive endeavor, it certainly is more fruitful than handing over money to a pedophilic organization in return for tasteless crackers and cheap wine.

As your friend, I advise you leave the anti-Christ Catholic church and put your trust in Christ to save you instead of your dead woks. All of our righteousness are as filthy rags before the Lord. Your good works can't wipe away your sins, the so-called "sacraments" can't atone for your sins any more than the blood of bulls and goats. Only the blood of Jesus can wash you clean. Go to a Baptist church that preaches free grace, my friend.

    dirty idolater. but its because they cant see right living and following jesus without feeling condemned. Nothing new under the sun;
    Wisdom of Solomon Ch2
12Therefore let us lie in wait for the righteous; because he is not for our turn, and he is clean contrary to our doings: he upbraideth us with our offending the law, and objecteth to our infamy the transgressings of our education.

13He professeth to have the knowledge of God: and he calleth himself the child of the Lord.

14He was made to reprove our thoughts.

15He is grievous unto us even to behold: for his life is not like other men's, his ways are of another fashion.

16We are esteemed of him as counterfeits: he abstaineth from our ways as from filthiness: he pronounceth the end of the just to be blessed, and maketh his boast that God is his father.

17Let us see if his words be true: and let us prove what shall happen in the end of him.

18For if the just man be the son of God, he will help him, and deliver him from the hand of his enemies.

19Let us examine him with despitefulness and torture, that we may know his meekness, and prove his patience.

20Let us condemn him with a shameful death: for by his own saying he shall be respected.

21Such things they did imagine, and were deceived: for their own wickedness hath blinded them.

22As for the mysteries of God, they knew them not: neither hoped they for the wages of righteousness, nor discerned a reward for blameless souls.

23For God created man to be immortal, and made him to be an image of his own eternity.

24Nevertheless through envy of the devil came death into the world: and they that do hold of his side do find it.

Golly. People sure do seem to be getting mad at nothing.

They obviously didn't respect his own personal desires if they weren't willing to leave him be on this as long as he's made them clear. If it has gotten to this point, they clearly valued him for who they want him to be, rather than who he is.
