how to make islam work

I kinda just want ONE spiritual practice and the most culturally aligned one for me is ISLAM , IE its the most congruent one and the one everyone assumes I am once they know my name.

The problem is - I'm too deep in the occult rabbit hole and honestly I don't even know if ISLAM does anything in comparison to even christianity - I won't lie for the brief moment I dabbled in it , waking in the morning feeling like jesus was at my back was kinda dope and zero excessive prayers unless I wanted too. Occult actually felt like a skill in many ways that I was honing and that was cool.

I'm honestly too weak for islam if I am being really honest - I never even kept a fast when growing up so I was hardly ever in it. But my parents are in denial and I'm trying to be a stronger person for them.

Is there actually any sound spiritual resonance in Islam, is the lord actually hearing their hearts? Is it a viable channel? If so can you tell me any great stories of faith that stemmed from the tradition? Practices that helped if any of you are primary muslim but still dabble in other shit?

I posted something like this months ago wanting to reform Islam to be goddess and witchcraft friendly. I like the 5 times a day prayer thing. We can keep that and leave all the Muhammad Messiah stuff out. Frick that.

You can still summon the djinn too.

That's also what gets me so much - the conveniences of Muhammad. Like bruh - imagine god decreeing you can swap wives with someone cause you liked her more lol but ONLY you can do that.

Like wut? And that questions the ethics of the character of the person who said it in my eyes - cause why not everyone then if its truly gods command? Like the buddha for example basically never applied any teachings to others that he would not apply to himself in principle (or at least I don't think so)

You can practice your own syncretic belief system, but leave Islam to the Muslims.
They don't need you to change their religion, goes for all of you ITT.
If I don't like the premise of Buddhism but I like the meditation, I can meditate.
If I don't like Islam's history, culture or jurispudence, I can take Islamic practices and apply them to my own life without the need to feel superior.

Not exactly sure what you are actually asking, but if you are a Muslim interested in the occult the first place you should probably look is the Shams al Ma'arif. A partial English translation was recently published. If you are after the more mystical elements you should read Rumi's poetry and join a Sufi order.

Yeah I like sufism but they are primarily based in like the Egypt middle east area for some quality teaching. Yeah I've heard of it - I ain't really tryna cast demons out , I just want to be able to call upon divine power in tough times. In north america unless you are in like NY its not that huge.

If you can travel to a large enough city where there is a Sufi order active, you can at least receive your dhikr from a sheikh. I don't know if it's like this for all orders, but for some you talk to a sheikh and he tells you to recite this dhikr this many times, and then you will become initiated.

            thanks man

I'm not Muslim nor do I have anything against Islam so I won't tell you if you should or shouldn't trust Muhammad himself, maybe he was a man of questionable character but I think the greatest Muslims have produced very valuable works on spirituality and philosophy along with elaborate and intricate spiritual systems.

For alchemical work, the Alchemy Website (that's literally what its called) is a goldmine, although it focuses on all alchemy not just Islamic. Your best place to start with Islamic alchemy is with Ibn Umail. Do some research and you should be able to find your way from there.

            much appreciated

The picatrix was written by an arab. Though i don't know if he was like, full orthodox muslim, christianized muslim or what

            duly noted

If all you want is Islamic occultism there's literally no shortage of alchemical work in that system, but like the other anon I also don't know what exactly you're looking for here. Do you want to become seriously religious? Just follow normative Islamic practice. Practice mysticism? Sufism is the way to go. Occult teachings? Read the alchemical literature followed by Arabic grimoires like the Picatrix.

Really where does one truly start with understanding the alchemical work in that system? Anybody consolidate those texts anywhere?

What I'm really asking is - If I can't really trust muhammad , how can I trust his system to still be sound? And I wish for it to be sound - because that is what would make life most congruent for me.

Unnecessary, enough with the generalized prejudice and random hate, you have to be 18+ to post here

    >René Guénon / Abdalwâhid Yahiâ ... initiated into Islamic esotericism from as early as 1910 when he was 24, he mainly wrote and published in French, and his works have been translated into more than twenty languages; he also wrote in Arabic an article for the journal Al Marifah
I have yet to read his books, most are regarding the occult in general or some specific non-Islamic tradition but maybe check out his "Insights into Islamic Esoterism and Taoism"

Source Mother ISIS : the Queen of Heaven
but then you have to explain WHY she is subjugated in name/spirit
ISISlam(b) under a LAMB = martyr and mirrors jesus the lamb.... and then it gets fricky
basically you CAN NOT SOLVE THIS WORLD
because of THE EGO OF MAN: that is the ONLY thing that stands between unity of the world
and as such THE UNIVERSE WILL RESTART and islam will NEVER EXIST AGAIN (same with all abrahamic cults)
    ISIS: islam
    RA: juda(s)ism
    EL: jesusism
(all three were INVERTED so Ra doesn't stand with israelites for example: it became azazel)

If you are going to be a muslim, be a muslim. Dont tie in this stupid homosexualry because its edgy or cool. Any one who knows anything about magic, understands that it becomes obsolete once you are a practitioner of Islam. Its like trying to alchemically create diamond from coal, when we have the tools to do that in a structured scientific way. I should add, stop whining about your grievances online. You dont even have a teacher or a school to properly understand the more complex matters, as such, weighing personal preference is lethally moronic.

Nothing good Ever happens to the Magician, occultism follows nihilism.

I liked Islam when I was ignorant of it but now basically despise it after learning more about it in a university level class. However, you be you and there’s more to life than pointless hate. I think others on this thread have recommended it but you should drop the sufipill and figure out if that fits what you’re looking for.
