So you admit things can exist without being fine tuned. The universe is absolute simplicity. Boom. We're done.

Their whole rationale about wanting obvious and unambiguous evidence for immaterial phenomena (things that would not have such evidence, such as consciousness and divinity) stems from a massive insecurity. Rather than commit to any belief system, they get analysis paralysis and give up entirely. People naturally give themselves a positive outlook on their own actions, so atheists think their inability to comfortably meld with group psychology is somehow a product of their talents, such as being a free thinker.

Atheist philosophy is that you’re a doormat of cells, and that no thought or action you do can have meaning- unless it’s in relation to someone else or to some material purpose. Atheists would have you use your intellect to willfully reject whole cognitive processes, based on a set of axioms for observing the environment. Why do scientific paradigms have to be applied to every aspect of life and society? Atheists, despite being free thinkers, don’t know why they have this compulsion- but I know it’s because it’s not a compulsion, it’s a deficit of another trait. Ultimately, it’s a form of extreme male brain syndrome (autism) where atheists are so fixated on systematically categorizing nature, that they simply can’t conceptualize an immaterial thing. They can’t use abstract thought, and this should be considered a mental illness like how psychopathy and schizophrenia are illnesses; sure, they don’t affect your intelligence per se, but they affect your lifestyle and mental health.

Any atheist that does not fit this description is either:
    >an inculcated child, who grew to hate religion due to how their parents or someone else administered it
    >a useful idiot larping as a stormgay or antisemite

Some people claim there's a israelite in the sky who raped a virgin so she could give birth to magic israelite. That's either true or it isn't, and if it's true there must be some evidence for it besides a bunch of sophism and logical fallacies.

Literally nobody claims that. It’s so boring when acktheists take their strawmen seriously, because then the discussion just falls to ad hom and cherry-picking (because you sound like an edgelord).

Shove it up your ass moron. If you remove all the idiosyncrasies of religion and reduce "God" to just some nebulous metaphysical being/prime mover of reality, that doesn't make you religious, at best it makes you agnostic.

      >it’s YOUR fault I can’t back up my views with evidence
Nobody demanded that the evidence HAS to be physical, you know. It could be anything. Plenty of atheists are willing to engage your “abstract” arguments and have done so, it’s just that they generally fall flat due to being full of leaps in logic, special pleading, and clearly motivated reasoning. Very few atheists obsessively try to put everything in a scientific view, that’s just an excuse for your arguments being bad.

Literally nobody claims that. It’s so boring when acktheists take their strawmen seriously, because then the discussion just falls to ad hom and cherry-picking (because you sound like an edgelord).

I'm a theist and I don't get the fine tuning argument
I've watched some videos on it but it doesn't seem emotionally or intuitively difficult
I understand that if the constants varied by an infinitesimal percentage then the universe wouldn't have ended up the way it is but I don't know
    I suppose I just don't get it
For me the cosmological arguments are easy to understand

    >fine tuning
How do you know it's fine tuned? What are you comparing it to? How do you know how likely or unlikely it was for our universe to end up this way?
It's just weird idea. Are you claiming you know *all* the factors that are in play here?

  12. 7 months ago
    Anonymous

    It's a mistake of framing
The only universe in which life would be capable of self recognition and asking the question is one that is already amenable and likely to have that occur because of the benchmark physical properties, tooled out to billions of billions of billions of worlds where life *could* be instigated from first chemical origins
Why is the universe fine tuned? Because otherwise you wouldn't be able to ask
(Ftr, fine tuning is a bunk model, the beaches would have to be made of watches for the analogy)

Especially the Indian one recently, that should have been a massive red flag to anyone with a brain
NASA images have been proven to be fake and inconsistent time and time again
Every time Elon musk tries to send a rocket up it blows up in the firmament (he literally slipped and stated this himself as a "joke")
All of this money has been poured into space for literally zero tangible benefit. Not one thing have we gained from studying space that we didn't already know. Ancients already knew when eclipses would happen and other sky phenomena. Knowing about some made up planet that looks suspiciously like a slice of pepperoni does nothing for us and yet they've poured billions into the space industry.
The mars rover is just some robot in the Nevada desert with a red filter that comes across coke cans and hills that look exactly like places in the real life Nevada desert
