How are religious people so sure that their religion is the true one?

I see this all the time on the internet, wherever I go. The Christians say “Christ is King”. The Muslims say “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”. I have often wondered how someone can have such great faith in something they cannot see, or perceive in any way. Where is that voice of scepticism, that sense of doubt? That desire for proof, which for me seems so essential a part of the human condition? Is it a deliberate choice on their part to cast out any doubt from their mind? Or does religious upbringing truly hold such a grip on them that they are so genuinely, truly sure of their faith?

One ended the Roman empire's practice of enslaving and castrating whites, then ended the slave trade around the world.

The others are people with lesser spirits, as shown by their lack of white skin.

The only valid religion is Christianity. Everything else is pagan satanic garbage. Empirical scientific proof of Christ and scripture comes through the eucharistic miracles

for me it's the Quran really, the book claims it's a miracle and that it has no contradiction in it and that it's the word of God, if you learn even basic Arabic and read it, it's close to impossible to say a human wrote this. God talks about sending many prophets to mankind from the first human up until Prophet Muhammad, Peace be upon them all. including Jesus and Moses, all of them came with the same message, over time evil people corrupt the message to gain some wealth or power, it's all part of a test. this short life is a test to see who will believe and submit and who will refuse and be arrogant
(fun fact: the word kafir is like the word Cover, kaffir is the one who knows there is a god but refuses to admit it.

The quran literally makes 0 sense and continuously contradicts itself. You morons literally cannot even understand 25% of the text and the fricking book itself says that it is the eternal perfectly understandable word of God. It's horseshit that was manufactured by a single dude that lived hundreds of years after Muhammad supposedly lived and that guy lived hundreds of miles away from where Muhammad supposedly lived. It's a jumbled fricking mess that has passages saying that God made the world in 6 days in one location and 7 in another. It's so fricking stupid the dumbass writer couldn't even count to 7.

sure there is a great deal cultural influence on what faith you will end up believing, you can simply believe what your society around you believes in as 90% of humans do or you can look for the evidences or the lack thereof of claims of the religions on case per case and here christianity has the upper hand above all other for having its foundation on a historical event that took place in space and time(the resurrection) rather than just claims like muhammad or joseph smith claims to having interaction with angels, well since both can never prove it they shouldn't be taken seriously, also in the christian religion has a God who does preform miracles even in modern time, check out the miracle of the dancing sun or the eucharistic miracles or the incorrubtable saints or the healings of lourdes, all are scientifcally investigated, if you compare that to islam for example no miracles had ever been even claimed in the history of the entire religion of 1400 years and their "prophet" had rotten in his grave. for myself it was only intellectual in the beginning until i went into in and the expiences in the religion i had was much greater confirmation to my intellecual conclusions since i do put more weight on the personal experience than mere intellect.

Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real the evidence for the Bible+BoM is the best evidence out there compared to other religion. Islam is right about women and God existing. Buddhists are right about treating others with respect. Etc. but still only one creation story can be right.

Cope. It's the true church. They also have Americans history right. Indians were cursed with darkness and lost the land for rejecting God. After Jesus resurrection He came to America. This was Heavenly Father's way of guiding White believers from Europe to America.

I feel the same about it each ritualized practice. What makes me certain is years of study, trial and error, and observation.

    >"Ch'an expressions refer to enlightenment as "seeing your self-nature". But even this is not enough. After seeing your self-nature, you need to deepen your experience even further and bring it into maturation. You should have enlightenment experiences again and again and support them with continuous practice."

    >What is Satori?
    >Satori is a key concept in Zen Buddhism that refers to a sudden, profound realization of our true nature and the nature of reality that transcends intellectual understanding. It is often described as an experience of awakening, enlightenment, or spiritual insight that transforms one’s perception of oneself and the world.

    >The concept of Satori in Zen Buddhism finds its roots in the Buddhist notion of Nirvana, characterized by the extinguishing of the fires of greed, hatred, and delusion. Both Nirvana and Satori share a fundamental aim of liberation from suffering and attaining ultimate peace and enlightenment.

    >While traditionally associated with the Theravada Tradition, Nirvana in Buddhism aims to end the cycle of rebirth. Satori in Zen Buddhism emphasizes the present moment and the direct experience of reality without the distortions of ego and attachment, beyond mental categories.

    >While both concepts share a common goal of transcending the limitations of ordinary perception, Satori is more focused on the direct experience of the present moment rather than the long-term goal of escaping the cycle of rebirth.
