      why must god be misterious and esoteric and not a down to earth understandable entity. If he's truly omnipotent, he could explain everything with plain words without pulling meme tricks

        What don’t you understand? It’s very simple: god is the source of morality, the archetype of mercy, justice, and power, that all people wish they could be (also he is objective, not bound to subjective predilections); Christ is the mortal representative of god’s power, and the earth is so corrupt that people here killed him for pretty much no reason, but he consented to the rules of earth so that his death could serve as a lesson for humanity (it worked: people now understand the virtue of mercy and forgiveness); and the Holy Spirit is the force that gives humans life and consciousness, the ability to perceive god and morality (imago dei)

        It’s up to you to learn, because nobody in life is gonna spoonfeed you the solutions to every misconception you have. If it’s too much to think about, that’s ok too, that’s what priests are for; if you’re just not sold on religion, then that’s fine too, but don’t start getting religious about it and proselytizing to others about how bad religion is

          idk man, if I were god I wouldn't make it all so obtuse. Just say like, "behave or I'll smite u homie". Very sus. Almost like the guys that write the lore are trying to cover up somethin

            But you’re not god, you’re just a regular person with ego problems

            >the Holy Spirit is the force that gives humans life and consciousness, the ability to perceive god and morality (imago dei)
            So is it just biological energy? Sounds like what you're describing, Or is it just the soul? Something non material?

            Non material I.e. not observable, it’s a force or quality or someth

        >go explain yourself to an toad, then report back on how well it comprehended what you said. if the amoeba can't tell us about you, or signify it understands you, then you must be the idiot.

        It’s an avatar of the Creator. It represents them going to earth to enact their will. Modern Christian’s go on these lengthy pseudo-intellectual rants about the nuance of the Godhead and religious theory when illiterate Roman slaves understood what they meant perfectly fine without the need to over complicate things.

    the Kashima District and the Hakui District in Ishikawa Prefecture, they are seen as a yōkai under the name kabuso or kawaso. They perform pranks like extinguishing the fire of the paper lanterns of people who walk on roads at night, shapeshifting into a beautiful woman of 18 or 19 years of age and fooling people, or tricking people and making them try to engage in sumo against a rock or a tree stump.

    You know how like when someone farts, you can't see it, but there's a definite sense of presence? That's what the Holy Spirit is to God. His Farts that fill the world with His Presence.

    God is all, the Father being the point of creation from which all things arise from, the Son being that which is God returning onto itself, and the Holy Spirit is that aspect of God which radiates out from that point of creation.
    Because the Holy Spirit is the presence of God going outward into the world it can be thought of as one's personal connection to God present within those who know him, as well as it's influence within and around them.

    I do not nor have I ever blamed anyone for not being able to wrap their heads around that concepts. This is a more esoteric aspect of the Faith that was likely meant to be understood by Christians who had been initiated into the mysteries of their religion, either revealed through vision or discovered through long contemplation and study. I'm still discovering more about it myself.

    The father is God as power. Think of the whirlwind from the book of Job.

    The son is God as a man. This is the compassionate side of God, the God who is down to earth and forgives (see Jesus.).

    The spirit is God as idea or thought.

    I hope that clears things up for you. An easy way to remember it is by using the following formula:

    Father = Infinite Power
    Son = Compassion, Love, and Morality
    Spirit = Thought

      continuing on from this I would add that the main difference between Christian and Talmudic/Islamic thought is how God is defined. Christians define God as "that which can be anything." The israelites, however, define God as "everything/the totality of existence".

      Whereas the former definition allows for the possibility of God as a humble man in the case of Jesus Christ, the latter does not. In summary, whereas Christians seek to emphasize the many in the one, israelites/Muslims seek to emphasize the one.

    You're not going to get good answers here on this board.

    Here's a short extract from a sermon discussing the Spirit.
