It's December 1st and plan to do a fast going towards Christmas. Water, mint tea, and maybe diluted OJ. Prayer, meditation, and so forth. The goal is to get rid of some demons in me, I have plenty using me as a host.

I fasted for 24 hours consciously for the first time in my life yesterday
I could literally feel the ketosis kick in - started having off and on sweats for an hour
after that I felt lighter than a feather and very clearheaded

was one of the only times in last few years that I didn't have brain fog or erratic thoughts
I felt so good, might start doing 24hr monthly now

That's great. I failed my last one because I convinced myself to eat for no reason. Now I know what I'm doing. Day 2 is the hardest for some reason, at least for me.

Fasting can make your problems more apparent. Mental and otherwise. Sinful thoughts. Unvirtuous behaviors. Things of that like.

It can illuminate the influence of the evil one. Help you root him out.

Awesome. I can't believe how normal it is to have these demons in us.

Is fasting where you just drink water and stuff like coffee and tea with no milk for the whole day and eat one big old meal near the end of the day cause I do that all the time

I think that's just called an omad (one meal a day.) it's not exactly fasting in the traditional sense but since you do get around 20 to 22 hours of it it could be considered intermittent fasting instead.

Unfortunately for me I have the case of ibs and have trouble absorbing certain nutrients n such sometimes but it’s really fricked my metabolism, I could eat a slice of bread and water for a single meal and I have done this and not lose any weight but gain more!

      >coffee
I'm not taking any caffeine or drugs. I think one of the points is to give up all addictions.

If you have IBS I don't think you should be taking wheat, it's really difficult to digest.

I lost around 6,5kg of weight in a month by doing ADF (alternate day fasting). I ate on non fasting days but only consumed water during fasting days.
Even though the reason behind the fast was not religious, fasting still is a great way to clean your body and shed off toxin, physical and spiritual.
By the end of the month, i had not only lost the 6,5kg of weight, i looked much better (70kg to 64,5kg), reversed my hypothyroidism (TSH 6 to TSH 2), and lost all BO (absolutely Korean tier armpits, no smell at all)

Yeah. I tend to fast when shit gets really bad and nothing else is working. If it accomplishes nothing else, it puts me in a focused mindset and I feel better equipped to deal with life's bullshit

The last time i fasted I had a psychotic religious vision and i ended up hitting my mother with my bible because she sexually abused me as a child.

that's not to say i wouldn't try it again if i'm alone and in need of closeness to God.

I fasted for 40 days and nights before two lents ago.

Lost exactly 30 pounds. I did exercise the whole way through it. Only drank water and electrolytes.

I didn't really accomplish anything with it other than a demonstration of my will power to myself and to others.

Probably if you go all the way it's ego death. That's where it took my last time, I failed of course because the devil himself is the last ego, and it's what you take to be yourself. Your real nature is peace and light, which cannot happen with the ego (and ego's) in place.

That's quite impressive, in my opinion. May I ask what the average day was like for you during that time period?

Interesting text. Essene's and Jesus talking about fasting and prayer.

      Who's the "Earthly Mother"?

I don't know but she is seen as the material realm (nature) and it says you have to get to the mother by learning lessons in the flesh before you can get to the Father and his spiritual realm.

    I'm a Christian.

I've only ever fasted, as far as I can remember, for (1) increasing closeness to God, (2) hearing from God about something specific - which is really a variation of 1, (3) petitioning God about something specific, (4) however, you can fast for spiritual warfare as well.

I'm not the most religious but I developed a severe anxiety disorder this year and prayed while fasting while getting over it. Pretty much cured after a couple of months. Doctors wanted me medicated.

Isn't it fun having demons in you? Now people are making identities out of their illnesses like it's Pokemon and you gotta collect em all.

Whatever it was was scary as hell. Doctor told me it was anxiety. I was getting the heart palpatations, numbness, irregular heartbeats, facial numbness, all kinds of shit. I thought I was dying. Turns out? I developed an anxiety disorder after I got sick with the coof in February. Lived with it while feeling like I was going insane for a few months and th doctor tried to dope me with generic prozac.

I was like, n'ah, and started praying and fasting and got over it in like two months or less. If I listened to the doctor i'd be a zombie right now.

    Well?

Well what? Do you want a progress update?

The meditation I do is Ramana Maharshi's technique, without that there's no point in fasting. The easiest method is to just ignore thoughts and be aware that you're aware. I do this for well over 4 hours a day, and is a good substitute for prayer.

I exercise every day by going for a 1+ hour walk, or lifting weights. It should be noted here that you should never listen to music while exercising, all focus must be on the pain. When you walk uphill, focus on the sensation in your legs, or the progress is superficial.

So day 1 I had nothing but water.

Day 2: I boiled mint tea with 2 whole cloves (crushes) and with a drop of oregano oil in it, some pepper or fresh ginger, and a couple drops of wormwood and black walnut hull, a drop of iodine. I was too weak so I I made some spicy chilli with lots of herbs (cumin, turmeric, chilli pepper, pickled hot pepper) and some spicy white rice.

So I ate 1 meal and I was fine and gave me strength. I also ate some adam's peanut butter, which makes it very easy to get down the olive oil and coconut oil. I do like 1 part peanut butter, 10 parts oil. These are very anti-candida and anti-parasitic.

Day 3 I'm much stronger. I was able to walk in the morning with just water, my body is very toxic. I took some orange juice and tea after the walk.

Also for the last 3 days I've been getting spontaneous images of the most weird looking demons that are inside of me. Last night, for the first time, I had a sort of nightmare and the demons are very pissed off that I'm doing all this. I had a profound spiritual experience yesterday too, basically heart opened and I experienced the great compassion.

    Dont get hangry please
Hunger induced anger is maybe the most pathetic thing that one can inflict upon himself by fasting

The candy bar commercial is real
The lucky husband that gets angry at his healthy housekeeper wife when he returns home from work but doesnt find a pleasant meal ready is legit

Fasting strategies are all a success and experience if you dont harm people and do not harm yourself

I wouldn't last if I was not meditating. Day 3 and all I had was herbal tea, OJ, and water. Lots of exercise today! More energy than if I ate.

My honda civic crankshaft pulley flew off today, I look to my left and it's rolling at the same speed as my car, thank God it didn't hit anyone. The bolt snapped wtf.

Sometimes fast before Samhain. Meditation within the Sidhe is more fruitful when you're hungry. For a day or two before the second day of Samhain I abstain from meat, booze, and bread. Before entering the Sidhe I drink beef or horse broth prepared with hazelnuts and a buttered oak cake.

The meditation in the Sidhe is followed by a community feast.

Day 4 was interesting. Had nothing but water this morning and went for a run. I run for about 1-2 mintues then walk. My health is improving rapidly, lots of toxins in my skin and I smell like old food (from my gut) and onions. I'm also avoiding sugars except for acidic things like OJ.

Take note that I am taking only sattvic and rajasic foods, no garlic, onion, meat, booze, et cetera. Feeling stronger today, but need more work.
